Job Details
A SUMURI course developer must be an individual who can conduct research into operating system artifacts and digital media devices and create superior training content. The training content must be created in a manner that allows the Instructional Team to quickly grasp the intricacies of the material in order to present it in a professional, easy-to-understand manner. Extensive knowledge of Mac computers and macOS is stressed.
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Develop, extend, enhance, revise and maintain course catalog material
- Communicate effectively with Instructional Team
- Test and incorporate changes and/or additions provided by the Instructional Team
- Review changes caused by operating system updates and version upgrades and determines if they affect course content
- Create, test, update and implement practical exercises used to reinforce the course curriculum
- Prepare Mac Forensic and SUMURI software topics for presentation at various conferences
- Develop, update and implement changes to certification process content
- Liaison with Web Team on loading, testing, and updating certification content on LMS
- Work effectively remotely with minimal oversight
- Serve as a subject matter expert to instructors and DFIR services consultants,
- Develop and refine course material for custom delivery which can be used for repeat delivery to other clients.
- Must be resourceful, adaptable, able to meet deadlines
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years DFIR experience
- 2+ years instructor experience
- 2+ years course development experience
- In-depth experience in using a Mac computer
- In-depth knowledge of the macOS and iOS
- Working knowledge of AppleScript, Automator and Shortcuts
- Working knowledge of shell scripting and Python programming
- Understanding of APFS and Mac OS Extended File Systems
- Understanding of digital forensic methodologies
- Knowledge of teaching methods and curriculum development
- Ability to evaluate, design, and implement course content for the classroom, live online and recorded on-demand instruction
It is preferred that the candidate possess the following:
Preferred Software Experience:
PALADIN, RECON ITR, RECON Lab, popular forensic suites (Encase, FTK, X-Ways, Axiom, etc.)
Preferred Certifications:
IACIS CFCE, EnCE, ACE and/or MCFE
Required Certification:
SUMURI CFME within 2 months of signed contract
