GPUs for Good: Turn Your Old Graphics Card into a Shield for Children

Your retired gaming rig or last-gen hardware has a new, vital mission. From September to December 2025, SUMURI and Project VIC are teaming up to put powerful technology in the hands of those who protect the most vulnerable. Donate your old GPU and directly empower the fight against child exploitation.
GPUs for Good

A New Mission – From Fighting Crime to Saving Children

For years, law enforcement agencies have relied on SUMURI’s high-performance TALINO forensic computers to combat crime and help protect children. In collaboration with Project VIC, our new mission is to equip Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the essential hardware they need.

If you’re a gamer, a creative professional, a crypto miner, or a company upgrading your systems, you have a unique opportunity. Your extra GPU can become an essential tool in the hands of a hero, helping to analyze evidence and rescue children from harm.

Where Does Your GPU Go? – Powering the Front Lines

ICAC investigators are facing an unprecedented challenge: analyzing massive amounts of data to find and identify victims. Modern tools powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning are essential, but they require immense processing power that only high-end GPUs can provide.
Unfortunately, many investigators are working with outdated equipment, slowing down critical investigations. When you donate a GPU, it goes directly to a vetted ICAC investigator in the United States, giving them the power and speed needed to bring children to safety and perpetrators to justice.

What GPUs Can I Donate?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

There are many GPU models out there, and we may have missed one. If your GPU is an NVIDIA model, is CUDA-compatible, and has 6GB or more of VRAM, it likely qualifies. Please contact us for clarification!

Not at this time. The specific software tools used by investigators require NVIDIA’s CUDA technology. We may expand to other brands in the future.

If you’re unsure, you can send it in anyway. Our team will perform a full diagnostic test.

(Quick tip: If you know a teenager who plays video games, they can often tell if a GPU works by testing it with their favorite game.)

We will contact you to let you know if your GPU is non-functional and cannot be repaired. We will securely recycle the broken GPU after receiving your permission or automatically after 90 days if we do not hear back from you.

Please reach out to us. If our program funds allow, we may be able to provide a shipping label or cover the costs.

Yes! Monetary donations are incredibly helpful and go towards covering shipping, testing equipment, and purchasing new GPUs when specific needs arise.
