I am nominating the Quincy Police Department (QPD) in Quincy, Washington, for a chance to win a Talino forensic workstation from SUMURI. This technology would enhance their forensic investigation capabilities. Their department currently has one digital forensic examiner. She is the first digital forensic examiner for their department. She is trained in multiple forensic tools for mobile device forensics, and she is the only vehicle and computer forensic examiner in Grant County. She is the QPD’s Major Crimes Detective and she is a certified lead investigator for the Columbia Basin Investigative Team. She has managed to balance a demanding caseload not only within the QPD, but also with neighboring agencies. The forensic advancements she has managed to establish at the QPD have played a crucial role in officer-involved shooting investigations, drive-by shootings, and child exploitation cases. Due to being such a small agency, it is difficult for them to find funding for equipment and forensic software.
The Talino forensic workstation will significantly improve the digital forensic department at the QPD. The forensic workstation’s high-speed processing, storage capacity, and organizational capabilities can help streamline forensic processes and enhance QPD’s ability to securely retain and access evidence. It would be able to assist with uncovering crucial pieces of evidence, that could ultimately help solve cases, reducing the risk of errors and enhancing the integrity of investigations. This can be especially important in complex cases where the accuracy of forensic evidence can make a significant difference in achieving justice for victims and ensuring that the right individuals are held accountable for their actions. This system will also make it easier to collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and build stronger cases in court. Ultimately, this can lead to successful prosecutions and a greater sense of safety and security within the community.
Overall, winning a Talino forensic workstation would greatly benefit QPD. I hope you will consider this nomination and that the QPD will have the opportunity to take advantage of this technology to ensure safety and justice for all. Thank you for considering this nomination.

Quincy Police Department
Washington, USA
This agency has 15 detectives working in it and they have one computer that is used to view all cellphone/ computer reports. The computer itself is over 5 years old and can take hours to open a report. They are in dire need to get a computer to make their jobs more efficient.

DuPage County Sheriff's Office
Wheaton, IL, USA
Since becoming a member of the USSS cyber fraud Taskforce, our single forensic examiner has gone from 35 devices per year to 250. That number is expected to increase exponentially next year. Our agency is stressed to pay for the required licenses for software needed to extract and analyze data. This leaves us with little money to pay for a forensic machine. We are operating on a laptop provided by the NCFi in 2022 and are in dire need of a forensic desktop.

Springfield Township Police Department
Pennsylvania, USA
The JPD serves as the backbone of law enforcement in our community, dedicated to justice and ensuring the safety of its residents. In today's digital age, crime has evolved to encompass complex cybercrimes and digital evidence, so the necessity for a forensic computer within the department is paramount.
A forensic computer is a vital tool that aids in investigations involving digital evidence. Crimes such as cyber fraud, identity theft, child exploitation, and other forms of digital malfeasance have become increasingly prevalent. A forensic computer equipped with specialized software and tools enables the department to efficiently analyze digital evidence, extract data from devices, and uncover crucial information crucial to solving these intricate cases.
Such a computer system facilitates the department's ability to handle cases promptly and effectively. Time is of the essence in investigations, and a dedicated forensic computer expedites the process of extracting, analyzing, and preserving digital evidence. It streamlines the workflow, allowing investigators to sift through vast amounts of data efficiently, thereby accelerating the resolution of cases and ensuring justice is served promptly. Currently officers spend a minimum of 4.5 hours driving digital evidence items to cities 90 miles away and have to wait months for evidence processing causing disturbing back logs of investigations.
The acquisition of a forensic computer is not just an investment in technology but also in the skills and expertise of the department's personnel. With specialized training and access to cutting-edge forensic tools, officers can develop their proficiency in handling digital evidence, staying abreast of evolving cyber threats, and employing advanced investigative techniques. This empowers the department to tackle emerging challenges effectively and enhances its overall capability to combat modern-day crimes. Due to limited and constrained budgets the acquisition and investment will be impossible without outside assistance. A dedicated forensic computer reinforces the department's credibility and reliability in the eyes of the community. By possessing the necessary tools to handle digital evidence competently, the department demonstrates its commitment to thorough and meticulous investigations. This instills confidence in the community, fostering a stronger sense of trust and cooperation between law enforcement and the public, which is essential in maintaining community safety.
The presence of a forensic computer aligns with the department's responsibility to stay ahead in the ever-evolving landscape of crime. Criminals adapt and leverage technology to commit offenses, making it imperative for law enforcement to equip themselves with the tools necessary to combat such activities effectively. By investing in a forensic computer, the JPD demonstrates proactive measures to stay ahead in the fight against cybercrime, safeguarding the community from digital threats.

The East Lansdowne Police is a small agency located near the border of Philadelphia city. Many of the cases we investigate involve digital evidence. This evidence is so valuable because of its impartiality and unbiased nature. Evidence like this can make or break a case and help bring justice to victims of crimes. Our agency has had a credentialed digital forensic examiner on staff for years. This officer does the best he can with what tools can be acquired. Most are purchased by the officer himself. We also assist surrounding agencies with processing digital evidence. Currently we conduct these investigations from a single laptop computer. Its all we can afford. The Sumuri computer would be of great benefit to our investigations.
