RECON LAB 1.6.4 (A1) - Silicon build
We’re excited to announce RECON LAB 1.6.4, bringing enhanced functionality, stability, and usability for forensic investigators. This update includes vital improvements to performance, bug fixes, and compatibility for the latest technologies.
What’s new in RECON LAB 1.6.4?
- Java Dependency Integration:
- RECON LAB now includes the required version of Java within the application, addressing prior dependency issues and ensuring smoother operation without needing manual installations.
- While the Java libraries are built into the application, this change is still being implemented into the installer and will be released with a secondary update soon.
- Resolved Library Signing Issue:
- Fixed a library signing issue that prevented RECON LAB from launching on certain Intel-based systems.
- This ensures greater reliability across all supported architectures.
- Xcode Dependency Pathing Fixes:
- Addressed dependency pathing problems to enhance the application’s stability.
- These changes improve compatibility but are not included in the installer and will be released with a secondary update soon.
- Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements:
- Resolved a crashing issue in the Email Parser during new case creation.
- Improved support for iOS 18 backups, allowing deeper analysis of data.
- Fixed PDF export issues, ensuring generated reports now include working links.
- UI and Configuration Enhancements:
- Adjustments to highlight colors for the “User Opened Files” option for improved readability.
- Fixed various UI bugs, including dark mode compatibility issues, configuration window behavior, and spelling errors conforming to US English standards.
- Addressed tab record count issues for “Recent Chats”, providing more accurate results.
