Running a digital forensics consultant business, either full-time or as a side business, can be very rewarding, both professionally and financially. From personal experience, I know the frustrations that come with owning a digital forensics business, from marketing to trying to pin down that client who hasn’t paid their invoice. We find that we tend to spend more time on the administrative side of things than being able to do what we love, working the case.
SUMURI is expanding its contract consultants section to meet the growing demand for our services. We are looking for experienced and certified DFIR professionals to join SUMURI’s Professional Services Consultancy, a collection of examiners and companies worldwide that, teamed together, will provide unequaled services to clients.
Why SUMURI Professional Services? We receive multiple inquiries from potential clients every week seeking DFIR services. Rather than continue to expand our practice internally, we are inviting trusted examiners to join us. Partnering in this type of endeavor will allow both you and SUMURI to grow our businesses and broaden our skill sets.
How will it work? Based on details such as geographical location, specific skill sets needed, and the scope of work to be performed, SUMURI will contact you for your availability to accept an engagement. If you are able to accept the assignment, we provide information on the engagement, get your input and either coordinate an onsite collection or the delivery of the devices to you for examination.
By becoming a SUMURI contract consultant, you can concentrate on the fun part of our job, conducting examinations. SUMURI will do the rest to include:
- Advertising
- Initial Client Calls
- Engagement Management
- Billing
We hope you are excited about this venture as we are. If you are interested in joining our unique venture or would like to discuss it in more depth, please let us know by emailing our Director of Professional Services, Dave Melvin, at dave@sumuri.com.
